And it has the fender-sleeve mod. Does the hole on the side snap fit into the hole in the fender? Or is there a sleeve of some sort?
I wouldn't buy that for two reasons: 1) 16hp/32 ft-lb gain. Really? SUUUUURE....... 2) Ram-Air?? How is it "Ram-Air"?? Okay, 3) It says "Banks" on it...

Hahaha, HP claims with these intakes are a joke!!! I remember when AFE claimed 50+ hp with the stage 2, what a sales pitch those are. Anyway, i agree with everything said above Joe
EDIT: Just to be clear, it's about his way over-inflated claims about his products and what he charges. A guy can get better performance spending way less. Almost anyone can build a fast diesel with enough $$$. If he spent on his own products for a 7.3L what I paid for all of my mods, I'd outrun him 6 days a week & twice on Sunday. THAT'S the point.......
Izzy if you have anything that can out run Gale Banks than go for it.
I would put my truck and many others up against any Banks Powered 7.3. If i had the money Gale Banks has, i would have something that could run against anything he runs. Just because he makes products for our 7.3s doesnt mean it will make it fast or more powerful than any of the other vendors. He is the one who claimed the 7.3 was a dead platform. And yes i know your comment was directed at Izzy, but i wanted to comment on this, hahaha
Izzy i just picking on ya! but you have to admit that is a cool looking intake.
It's all good, Bro'... I just hate see good people spending too much of their hard-earned $$$ when they don't have to. There's nothing wrong with his products themselves, at least the passive ones (other than the price). If someone wants to buy them, that's fine (for looks, the name, or whatever), but I think they should know what they're really getting (lots of marketing hype)......

Just my humble opinion......
By my sig its obvious that I have invested in Banks products. I know there is a certain amount of hype, as there is with any company e.g. HP, AT&T, Cisco......so it is always buyer beware! I went with Banks for no other reason than to ensure my tunes would not compromise the longevity of my motor, not be a dirty tune, and because the man has a pretty good reputation in the high performance industry. I agree that there is more HP to be had elsewhere, but in the end its always about having choices and selecting what we are comfortable with. He's just part of the menu we enjoy in this country. God Bless America brother!
I'm a newb here and just added an AIS kit as the first mod to my truck. For my purposes, I wanted a good system at a halfway decent price, but knew I would not be pleased with the noise of the 6637 for my day-to-day use (might have to keep one in the garage for occasional use though). I also wanted an intake system that didn't look obviously aftermarket in case the emissions testing folks started poking around. For about $200 the AIS seemed like the best bet. The Banks system looks sweet, but I agree with others here who pointed out that the horespower claims seem a bit optimistic and the price is difficult to rationalize.
The AIS doesn't come with the fender sleeve. I've only been able to find them at one place, but maybe Riffraff has them now too; you'd have to call him to see.
Here's another option S-B has been proven to be another nice system on the market with plenty of breathing capability. A little more beans but this is the last and only filter I'll need, one of the reasons I bought it next to very good filtration. Clay has these also since last checked and Pete's or Clay's cover you got to have.
are you runnin the kit with the dry filter? how much noise over stock? I had a mac intake on my 01 lots of noise but you get use to it. I ran a k&n fipk kit on my 6.0 that was tolerable so I wont have a issue with a little noise. do you think it flows more than the ais with the sleeve?
