Woot, I just installed power door locks/remote keyless entry on my truck. Not too bad really, I bought one of those universal kits off of ebay for $30. Hardest part was running wires and trying to figure out how this thing worked since it didn't come with directions.
As far as the operation itself my only gripe is every lock is controlled by the drive front lock. So I lock my door, they all lock, I unlock my door they all unlock, but if the driver door is locked and one for the other doors are unlocked I have to unlock the driver door then re-lock the driver door to lock the other doors. Once again small dislike and for $30 something I can live with.
yes, the cruise control was as simple as swapping steering wheels and taking it to my local dealer (Varsity FLM) and having them enable speed control.
they charged 1/2 hour and I had them do a courtesy inspection at the same time.
I suppose you can't have them enable a bunch of options while they are in there if the options are not installed? That might cut down on the number of trips to the dealer.
