When you guys are towing,do you get better mpg in two or four wheel drive, are does it make any difference. Also what is suppose to happen when you disconnect the exhaust sensor, mine didnt make any different in how it ran.95 f350 cc 5sp 2 wheel drive 237000 miles.
Jim
Would you rather push a dirtbike it a 4 wheeler? Lol you'd get gassed pushed a 4 wheeler alot faster
?? don't quite get what that means...
But, I would not pull anything in 4WD the entire trip. Mileage would go out the window. If a truck was meant to be in 4WD the entire time it would be AWD
Don't tow in 4wd, unless you are offroad and need traction, or slippery boat ramp, etc. Not on the highway.
Did you disconnect the EBPV sensor? All that will do is keep that valve open, saving you a lot of confusion from weird sounds when it decides to stay closed too long.
It won't warm up as fast in the winter, but unless you are in the single digits you don't really need it. You can also wire it to a manual switch like a lot of guys here do.
I just have a chip with a 1200rpm high idle setting for warming up in the winter...
The reason i was asking about the 4 wheel drive is i see where everybody is getting what i think is high mpg,i have never got even 14 or 15 mpg.
I get about 10 or 11 mpg.
Thanks Jim
With 4.10's I was still getting over 18mpg highway cruising about 65mph
Do you have a fuel leak anywhere?
I agree, sounds like you may have a leak somewhere, otherwise something else isn't right and I'm not smart enough to tell you what. I make 17 empty at 75 with 3.55's. Over 20 if I slow down to 60. With my trailer this weekend for the first time checking I got 9 with a 30mph side wind. I was happy.

9 sounds good to me with that massive trailer your pulling
I have a3:55 rear end 5spd with bully dog chip, and pull a 6000lb TT,no gas leaks My last truck was a 95 dulley automatic with 4;10gears and stock, got just 10 mpg
If i am not pulling anything , i get 19 to 20 which sounds pretty good for a cc, i would like to get a little more towing,i dont tow very often so if i just get 11mph with this truck i am still happy.
Thanks to all. Jim
