OASIS Report
Hello! I've been checking out this site the past week or so. Wish I could have found it earlier! I've been searching for a 7.3 PSD Ex and I've finally found one. I'm scheduled to look at it when I get back home.(I'm away at work) I've checked the carfax and it's clean but I was hopin I could get a OASIS report from someone along with an explanation of what it means. The vin is 1FMSU43F0YEC18616. I'd never even heard of OASIS til I found this site as I'm new to ford but I've wanted an excursion for over a year now and finally found one. I came to my local Ford authorized Service in Canada and told them that I need a OASIS report on the 05Ex Vin#: that I am about to purchase in USA and they ran a report for me (I took within 5 minutes) without charge. Keep it in mind that the OASIS report typically has the records relate to warranty status, warranty repairs, outstanding recall etc... what you may also need is the regular maintenance records and repair from where-ever the current Ex owner takes to. Or, If you are really serious about sealing this deal you may want to consider take it to the Ford authorized service centre to check it out to give you a good peace of mind. good luck

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping that someone here would be able to help as the vehicle is not at a ford dealer. Maybe I'll try to find a local dealer that will help. The deal is a 2000 Excursion Ltd. with the 7.3 and 121k miles for $12900....
