ive been in texas the whole time just never ventured into this section on the forums. im in the south houston area and i normally show up at the weekend carshows in kemah and pearland.
anyway ive got a 1960 short bed flareside that i just put the crown vic front suspension in with the 8.8 rear end and the 4.6 AODE setup. took me 3 months almost to the day from driving it in the garage to driving it out of the garage. ive still got a few hickups to work out and some wiring to do but its gettin damn close now and then i need to start on the body work and get some new paint on it. heres a link to a few pics, ive got more with the front clip back on ill post a lil later. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ap-update.html
Wow I wonder if we have met before, Have you gone to the car shows at Walter Hall park in league City, It's for the Space City Cruisers, I think they had a Cruise and meet night in Kemah, have you ever gone to those, Glad to have ya here
i have been to walter hall park, last time i was out there i was on my bike, its a WWII BMW copy. i mostly just go to the friday meets in pearland and saturdays in kemah thow. i dont enter to many shows that have entry fees.
I havent touched the body yet since i have had it, the guy before me did some half *** work to atleast make it look decent from 10 feet. im planning on getting another cab to do the body work to and chop the top on while im still able to drive my truck, then spend a weekend or 2 swapping them out when its done.
The motor is a 2V 4.6 from a 2003 police interceptor crown vic, so is the front suspension, and the rear axle is from a 94 police interceptor.
yep
im out in alvin so the pearland one at home depot is the one i go to most of the time, but the trucks been getting work done for the last 3 months. hopefully ill have it out in a few more weeks. its at 518 and dixie farm road.
