Smile Long Bed size

Does anyone know if there is any difference between a 2001 F-250 Long Bed and a 2010 F-250 Long Bed other than the tailgate & tail lights? My bed got crashed & I have a chance to get a new 2010 for my 2001 cheap, but I would like to know if my topper & rear bumper will still fit. Thanks!

It is the same bed, but different tailgate. And I think the tailgate will give you problems with your topper. The new gate has a swell across the top center that the old ones do not. Are you thinking of using your old tailgate? That might work if you change out the pivot points. If you do, there is a good market for the new tailgates.

I do not think it will fit but if you know someone that has a 2010 ford then go take a look at the tailgate and compare the two and see if they are different

There is a good market here in Tennessee for it if the price is right, if ya know what I mean.

yes the tailites bolt right into place..

wiring is a different matter thou.

since the reverse lite is in the opposite end of the light you will need to extend your older trucks wiring, and if memory serves me right the bulb is difffernt aswell. but im kinda hazy on that one.

Looking at a canopy that came off a 2008 F350 Super Duty. Does anyone know if this is the same bed/tailgate/cab configuration as the 2001 F350 Super Duty? Just don't want to drive 600 miles round trip then find out it's different.
My local dealers are worthless for info regarding this matter. Thanks in advance.
