I thought 1996 was the last year for 5 on 5.5? Did you have the 2010 rear end re-drilled?

38 and 39 hood side badges are the same. All truck sizes used the same side panels, except the cab overs.

Curious why you are looking for one, are you making a belt buckle?

LOL! Never thought of that one. Didn't think to look and there's no lights in that attic.

Does it turn over? Some of my most memorable moments (in the automotive world) have been dragging a truck out of a shed and getting it running. Make sure you get lots of pictures and a video of it before you do much fixin'. And my friends here know I'm a huge fan of the tonners!

engine had stuck ring now free, took heads/intake off inside no gonk or rust. Working on horn relay while I can get at it before I put heads [aluminum] back on. I have trouble with computers, got pic into computer but can not get it over to this site. I live in Nova Scotia Canada.Reinstalled original starter after having it checked @ local repair shop. System is 6 volt positive. Going to keep truck in original condition .Key still works and had blanks made in small shop in Calais Maine. chrome all good but red mercury detail lettering will have to be redone. Original sliding window still good as this was option in 1947 . Took wheel and tire off and the nuts under original hub caps came right off with little fluid film , they had no rust on them. Redoing brake hoses but brake lines are shing when I remove old oil etc from them. I will keep you posted Thanks Al Halliday

Nice truck. Here's the pic from your profile page.

Also in your postings on the profile page you asked about a line drawing of the tonner stake bed. Here's the tonner drawing from the 1946 Ford Dealer Handbook. Stu
