Question Proper operating temps with ts chip installed?

Just got my Ts performance chip today and got it installed. I cant believe the difference. The settings i got are stock, high idle,50hp,75hp,100hp,anti theft.
With it on the 100hp setting I hit 1200 on the egt right away. before the chip I only hit 950(pre turbo). Boost went from 15psi to 24psi. trans temp went from 140 to 170. Just wondering if all this is normal. Also what should the max be on my egt temps and trans temps before I start to worry?
Thanks for the info I love this site it has made my life a lot simpler.

Just depends on what other mods you have. Trans should be no more than 100 over ambient temp, do you have a stock air box, this will raise egt's with a chip in a hurry. Boost is about right but be careful if the turbo is stock 24psi is pushing it...Also a stock downpipe and exhaust will keep egt's high as well

Your going to experience higher temps all around with tunes thats for sure. With your boost numbers it doesn't sound like you have any boost leaks, enjoy but enjoy responsable.

I have 4 in turbo back exhaust and a k&n cold air intake. What should I do to limit the boost pressure, if anything. What is to hot on egt.

Keep boost on a stock turbo at 25 psi or less for longer life. EGT's should not sustain over 1250 for long periods of time. Many folks go over 1250 in short bursts (such as drag racing or sled pulling), but definitely not for climbing a mountain pass.
