Hmmm... I'd be interested to hear how these work out for you! I've got a pair on my 96 Ranger.

Not bad at all Matt! I had bfg AT's before and hated them really, they were ok I guess. I love my nitto mud grapplers compared to them.

I had good luck with the Steeltex that they discontinued in favor of the Destination. I'm interested to see how long they last for you. I did notice once I switched from the Steeltex to some Coopers, that the old Firestone tires were pretty loud, but I used to get 60k - 70k out of them.

I think that Firestone replaced the Steeltex with the Transforce AT. I ran my first set of OE Steeltex's 98k, then Ford gave me 5 new ones, I have 85k on them. I know some folks didn't like the Steeltex's, I would buy another set when these freebe's are shot!

I think you're right about the Transforce name. Thanks for the correction.

Since they quit making the Steeltex years ago, I'd start looking for a different tire when it comes time for new ones.

I ran a set of those in 305/70's and got 47k out of them. They did well but I went back to Nitto's.

True, but at least the BFG's look more aggressive. The wife has BFG's on now, but is trying to figure out what to go with next Let us know if they get any louder or settle in.

I put Destinations on my last ford explorer.. No problems.. Almost got them for my truck but changed my mind at the last minute based on what was already on the truck and sale flyers.
