98 expo driver window

98 expo driver window

hello im new to this site and hav a crazy problem.. my drivers window in my 98 expo wont roll up or downbut all the other ones do. but when i open the door it works fine.. shut the door and the window does nothing. i have never seen anything like this. any help would be great..

Maybe it's a loss of ground issue and it's only getting a good enough ground when the door's weight is on the hinges. Just a thought.

I spoke too soon. I just had a chance to look over the power window wiring diagram and all 4 window motors get the +12v and -12v from the driver's switch. So if it were a loss of ground all windows would be affected. After reviewing the diagram, I'd have to say there's more likely a chance of a broken wire running out to the door that is flexing as you open and close the door.

I'm attaching a PDF of the wiring diagram which I'm sure you'll end up needing.
