But with a twist. 05 F250 I‘ve done my home work (search(maybe)) and can’t find anything like my problem.
<O</O History of problem: It started this winter, when I park level OR nose high starts OK all the time But when I park overnight pointed down it takes 2 tries or TWICE as long, with one try to start.
<O</O Maintenance:
<O</O Fuel filters (IH part # 1847170C92) changed 3K miles ago, starting problem did not go away. Changed every other oil change
<O</O Oil and filter (Mobil 1 5/40 Motorcraft filter) changed 3K miles ago, starting problem did not go away. Changed every 5K miles
<O</O Current mileage 73K miles
<O</O The only time I get to park nose high OR low is in my drive, so I’m not sure how long it has to set before the hard start happens.
<O</O NOTE: I make very FEW short trips, all most all are 25 miles or longer. And don’t have access to a code reader.
<O</O Thanks in advance ab
I am also wondering about oil drain back. But I'm not sure how a level attitude would matter.
I did add a coolant filter in Aug. last year and have changed the filter a couple of times. The first one had a little sand, none (or not much) in the second??? Coolant level is on the "recall" mark when the truck is level. Coolant is Motorcraft “Premium Gold.”
I’ve wondered about oil and fuel drain back. But with an elect fuel pump I’ve even cycled the key like when I change the filters, no change.
<O</O Which leaves an oil issue???
<O</O Thanks ab
