Nice photo's Steve. I am thinking of using some of those shiny panels used for a shower wall, believe that is what is is used for. Comes in 4x8 sheets. I think I would go for 3 pieces to make the back part easier to install. It should bend ok to match the roof and leave room for insulation. The old cardboard one is warped and cracking.
Sounds like it'll last, but it'll be noisy unless you a) use some spray adhesive to attach carpet foam to the back of it; b) undercoat the back; c) Rhino-line the back; d) apply Dynamat to the back. A hairdryer or heat gun will let you put the proper contour on it. For a long, straight, smooth bend, get a REALLY long piece of 3" copper tubing and put a blowtorch in the far end. Lay the plastic over it away from the torch and let it fall across the curve of the tubing wall.
