crapy idle

I used rotella 15-40 and i think the filter was fram. I had some one else do it and the fill level was too high. Removed oil to proper level idle improved but not like it was before. Thanks for any help.

You need to be sure of the type of filter. The wrong kind can cause problems. So can the wrong oil and being overfull.
Some frams have been observed to NOT be the same as the OEM filter, but it may have been that someone switched filters in the box at the store.
Did you check to see if there were any codes (DTC's)?
