newby need waranty advice

I'm new to this forum and looking for input. I am contemplating purchasing a 05 6.0 w/ 120k miles. It has a 1 owner Carfax although I dont know how thorough that may be.

What extended warranty, if any, would anyone recommend since this truck doesn't have one due to mileage?

Also, what can I check for mechanically to help reduce the risk of mechanical problems? I hear mention of the "EGR cooler, valve" something?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure your SOL on an esp warranty and a lot of the a/m's aren't worth the paper their written on. Maybe a newer truck still in the 5/100,000
