starting

2003 F-250 stock. Why will my truck first time starting for the day start then stop about 3 times before it keeps running. After that it starts fine the rest of the day until the next morning.

Following the suggestions from the no-start thread,
What oil do you have in it?
When was it last changed?
What filter are you using?
Is your oil level OK?
When was the last "flash update"

Rotella T-6 oil with motorcraft filter. I keep it changed 5,000 to 6,500 miles. Last flash was 6/11/04 (3U7A-12A650-FTC)

I would start with a re-flash then. After that, I would suspect the injectors need to be tested.

What flash should I get? Check injectors for?

Delareships only do the most recent flash from what I have been told (they don't install older ones). The newest one is a good one.
Get the dealership to diagnose and read the codes (if any) and also check the injectors.

I know it is probably a few hundred bucks, but the real money to be saved is in the repair work - if any is needed.
