The owner wasn't home at the time, he had an emergency he had to tend to. His wife did give us the keys and we started it. The owner also got a new vehicle to do plow work. Yes i was planning on making this driving worthy and taking over the snow shoveling duty at my house. One thing with the frame rust. It seems like the rust built up on top of the frame and not that it is eating through it.

When we were looking for horse trailers aa little trick me and my dad figured out was to get a old poket knife and stab the frame or infected rusty area to see how bad it was i assume a pick of some sort would also work just a thought

I'm gonna have to think hard about this one. Good thing with the knife trick. I didn't have any tools with me for some stupid reason. I might have to check it out again when the owner is there.

That frame isnt looking to good if it was me I wouldnt buy it for that reasonhe got a new truck he didnt .the plow is not worth 1000 more like 500 i bought the same plow setup last fall for 500 and it looked new. at the most thats an old fisher hydraulic plow with the pump mounted on the engine those are old they dont make those anymore everyone wants minute mount plows now but I like the old plows myself.if you wait a little longer you may find one that doesnt need as much work for around the same pirce.

That truck is strictly a driveway truck. The frame looks too rotted for an on road use vehicle.

But let me warm you, DO NOT use a newor good pocket knife, i had a old timer that was my dead uncles and i didnt think about it and hit hard as i could broke the tip off, now the poor thing sits in a drawer waitin on my to try to salvage the blade one day, if we go check out a trailer or anything like that i always keep a little cheap 5-10 dollar knife in my truck and my dads just for checkin stuff like that. but i would be really iffy about this of because the pics you posted the frame looks like somethin we might pay 500 bucks for and use it to go in and out of the hay feild to get parts/tools to work on the equipment in the feild, but if you plan on getting it road worthy and drivin it everyday yourprobablly lookin at somethin that is gonna cost you more than its worth. just my honest opinion

I don't mind taking the bed of and getting a abrasive wheel and knocking all the rust of and undercoating it. I honestly could buy a decent car with my money but i'm looking to buy something that i can do some work on. My dad chipped some of the rust off and said there is still solid metal under it.

I bring up another question. What if i put all the stuff from this truck onto my 83 frame. It has no engine but the frame is perfect. Also swap over the four wheel drive and transmission.

@fordpickmeup Plow looked pretty solid. If it can plow my driveway i'm all good. Probably get some money from my neighbors too plowing theres in the winter. It does look like a motor mounted pump it has tubes running to the outside hydraulics from the engine bay. I've check my craigslist too and see them going for about 300-500.

thats an idea, about swaping over to the 83, it would take some long days and $$ but if theresa will theres a way, but if yourgoing to do all that i rally dont see 1000 much less 1500 in buy ing it iknow if i were him id hate getting low ball offers buteven 900 seems a little high but ireally think id pass and keep on looking if i were you
