I have a diamond plate plate step bumper on the rear of my '65 F100, it is the kind that extends down the side of the bed and attatches to the bed side. I am going to have to re-chrome it before I put it back together. My question: for the same amount of $$$ I can buy a new "regular" bumper (like the kind on the front) Any opinions on which is better? It also looks like if you are rear-ended hard it could tweak the bed sheetmetal as well. Any Ideas?
James you got one of them west of the big muddy bumpers. If it uses the regular brackets you can use the straight rear, if not you will have to find a pair. (about a hundred bucks)
The bumper you are looking for is available from The Motorhaven store. Click Here to take a look at it. The brackets are not available from there but you can find them as John mentioned.
