I'm looking for a place to buy all new body hardware. I'm starting to bolt the old truck back up ( '76 f250 4x4) and would like to find new hardware and clips for the front end possibly in a kit? Anyone have any ideas of where I can find this?
You can try AMK Products in Winchester, VA. They are on the expensive side but their hardware is dead-on accurate. Restoration hardware - AMK Products Inc !
By clips if you mean the plastic clips for the body moulding and weatherstripping try Dennis Carpenter.
In their catalog go to the "bulk" section. There they list all of their products individually.
The "clips" for the front sheet metal (and most other apps.) are 5/16"-18 long U-nut. Their part number for the 20 pack is B-10788.
They also have the dead on accurate 5/16"-18 bolts for the sheetmetal and misc brackets. The p/n for that one is B-13229 for a 4 pack.
They also have the plastic straps and clips for the wiring harnesses.
well that looks like exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for taking the time to show me and actually give me specific part #'s. You have been extremely helpful.
