so it does or doesnt have to have the maf conversion? i plan on doing the conversion eventually on it any way. and i know that i will have to do some plumming for the tb cause the gt40 is single blade correct

.....No you don't need mass air unless your going to build the motor to the point where you want to put some good performance heads & cam , then MA will help you alot , but for a mild build SD is fine , if you have the 5.0 the stock intake is very good & you could find more power in an exhaust change...Lew
k my current setup is k&n filter intake a full 3' exhaust ultraflow with shorty headers. i have a spare motor i am about to put together out of a 95 f150 that i have a crane cam for and im gonna port match everything
i am also looking to get long tube headers for it instead of the shorties
....Long tubes will give you more TQ than the shortys , but the rest of the exhaust needs to be replaced to , the stock pipes are very restricktive , if your going to do a MA swap do it before you do the heads & cam , with SD you don't have alot of cam choices because the more aggressive cams don't give you enough vacuum to work well with SD...Lew
i had already bought the cam a few years ago. its a very mild cam more less a towing cam but maybe a little more aggresive i dont remember the specs just that it was for my year truck and motor. the stock exhaust is gone i replaced all the exhaust years ago but am gonna redue it all soon
