Got a truck!!!!
and i have now put on new windshield wipers, changed the thermostat and flushed the radiator and put in new antifreeze; don't ask me which kind cause it was traumatic what you have to go through to learn about these trucks and anti-freeze and then buy some and then realize you bought the wrong kind according to some but it is somebody elses favorite....!@#$!@#$!flush it backwards then forwards then buy all the distilled water that krogers has......and a new radiator cap and upper and lower radiator hoses!!
i have gone over the entire truck with meguiars anti-oxidation wax stuff that works fairly well. i used meguiars plastic headlight restorer with pretty good results too. i just bought a bottle of it and rubbed it on, not the entire kit.
yes i have vinyl bench seats, don't know what that makes my trucks trim level???
found 2 wires disconnected from the after market cd/radio/mp3 player, so now it works. but boy i need new speakers.
K+N air filter.
bought a fuel filter but gonna run the rear tank some more before i change it incase it has some junk in it.
rain-x'd the windshield.
Lucas fuel injector cleaner in the tank.
Tested the batteries and the alternator, all OK.
bought cup holders to hook on the windows, cause it ain't got none.
replaced the old mirror it needed it.
bought and placed fish eye lenses on the bottom of both side mirrors, big improvement.
bought floor mats, that are way to small, boy this truck is BIG!!! they were cheap but the next ones will be larger.
got a 10,000lb curt trailer hitch on it with a 3 way ball.
bought oil and oil filter but the dealers records show it was just changed 1000 miles ago, don't know that i trust that, but i will go a little longer then change the oil.
I have a really fast car i can drive but half the time i just jump in my truck, i love driving this big old thing.
EL GRANDE ROJO is one of its names.
Big Red is the other.
or is that the same name??!@??
and yea after hours of learning opinions about anit-freeze i came acrossed the GET THE RIGHT thermostat stuff and took back oriely's and spent $25 on a ford thermostat, AND after doing all you have to do to change the stupid thing, YEA i want the one that is going to last the longest and don't care about the cost!!!
i have a 400+ HP subaru that is street legal and i love to drive it, BUT i find myself driving the truck more often, i love this thing!!!

It's a POS ... Any $5 Thermostat will do! Now all you need is some Autolite or Bosch Glow Plugs and you'll be all set!

POS my A$$
like you guys know and i'm learning these trucks are great!!!
don't it make you wonder when they get it right, that a couple years later they change it!?!?!?!
i had a z3 a couple years ago, wonderful car to drive, but the z4 come on!!!??? yuck!!!
I don't push my truck hard, but i almost always pull away from the crowd when leaving a red light, and we get good mileage, especially when you consider the Weight of these things, and my insurance lady asked if i had air bags, i replied, 'don't need them do i' 5000lbs of truck!!! if i need an air bag, it probably wouldn't really help anyway.
anybody know how much per mile hot shots are making, i'm in nashville.
i'm an RN and work 3 nights a week, that leaves me time to Hot Shot some.
