Windstar Transmission Question

I have a 1995 Windstar with the 3.8L and AX4S trans and I'm hoping someone can help me. I plan on getting a new transmission since mine is shot but I have ran into an issue. How do I find which transmission is in my 1995 Windstar. A popular junk yard search engine lists 3 possibilities for what might be mated to my 3.8L. Where can I find this information on my vehicle? I can't find it anywhere so far. What is the difference between these? Is it stamped on the transmission somewhere?
Here are the possibilities it gives...
A.T., 6-232 (3.8L), ID F48P-BA
A.T., 6-232 (3.8L), ID F48Z-BRM
A.T., 6-232 (3.8L), ID F48P-BB
Any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED.
The Windstar is not a truck, so it is not on FTE. It is an oversized Taurus wagon, sharing the engine and trans of the Taurus.
Want my advise, don't swap your trans, rebuild it. You can address your issues, fix the problem, even make it better than new for not more than $1000 in parts for a complete rebuild. A junkyard trans is already on deaths door and in my opinion should only be pursued if you are looking to get another 6 months to a year for minimal investment.
To the issue... I have not been under the van yet but I was under the impression that just AX4S is stamped on the pan. Just from reading around. I'll take a look over the next couple of days. The transmission was actually "just rebuilt" said previous owner so I actually ordered an OBD II scanner yesterday to get some codes from it. Apparently the 95 Windstar IS obd ii compliant. They just could not say so technically. It might just be a sensor. When the truck is heated... maybe 10 miles into a drive, if you stop for some reason it will not come back out of first gear. To me with no other slipping or associated problems outside of this I'm lead to think it could be the neutral safety switch, vss, tss, or a shift solenoid. A local mechanic I spoke with also said it could be the TPS.
I'll wait on my reader and get back with you. Thanks for the reply.
Pretty sure you have an AX4S. My '96 has one. The rebuild was around ~$1800, but no problems at all since then.
I replaced both the Neutral Safety Switch (which I believe is the TRS on these vans) and the Camshaft Sensor. Nothing changed in the transmission, same exact thing and the service engine light came back on after resetting the computer twice by unhooking the battery. Can't rescan till I get my reader. If I still get the TRS code would anyone venture to say I might have a wiring issue going to the TRS? Someone had told me to unhook the plug on the side of it while running and see if it changed gears, it didn't. Nothing changed there either (further leading me to think I have a wiring issue). Anymore suggestions? Does anyone know how to test my theory?
