ya, i was gonna say, i think the older broncos have longer springs. The Bronco superflex's are 23in uncompressed with a 300lbs/in spring rate. That leaves my ride height at 17-18in if my front end was loaded to the axles GAWR of around 3k for a dana 44 TTB. My springs right now are at 12in compressed. That would give my well over 4in of lift, even after they settled. Now i could see that the leverage created by the TTB vs. the Solid Axle would drop the total lift a little. But it would also cause more compresson with less force especially with the low spring rate, possibly causing excessive bottoming out.
Im still undecided on the shocks. Im still hoping some one running the 5150's will chime in and let me know what valving and and how they handle a heavy full size truck. Im also trying to decide if i can spare the money for 7100's, but i wanna make sure they will work good for my application and are not overkill.
Thanks for letting me pick ya'lls brains and battle out what to do here on the forum.
Let me know if ya'll have any other suggestions or want to try to sway me in a particular direction, i can use all the help i can get. Big decisions and i wanna make sure my trucks turns out awesome.
