Looks like chrome :-) how much in supplies do you have into it ?? Time...I can imagine umpteen hours getting them as clean and pretty as can be. What do you topcoat them with ??? They all look great....
Thank's guy's. Yeah, a lot of hours goes into one. Of course it depends on what shape I get them in. First all anodizing is stripped off. Then repairs are made. This can be from a simple tap to tap, tap, tap weld and so on. any and all welds are done from behind and are never seen. Any grille I sell that has been welded I will disclose to buyer along with picture of repair. The grille is then polished and repolished to achieve the best shine possible. Keep in mind these are original pieces so sometimes a pit gets by me but it does not take away from the overall apearance. Show quality grilles take more time and cost more however all the grilles I sell (in my opinion) are show quality. If a customer pays a partial down for "Show Quality" every effort is made to make that dream come true. I have a large supply of items that I am currently making to look, better than original, or at least that's my goal. I have not had any bad or negative comments, only good positive comments.
I have one...its not the best by a long shot...needs tab repair at the bottom..If you are looking to replace one from a crashed nose this will make your rig look presentable...for a full restoration...it needs a good bit of work...it is aluminum though...
I found a metal plaque while detailing my 1966 F250's engine from Al Leist Inc. Machine Shop in San Mateo CA. It list the rod .040, bore .060, and main .040 Model 352 work was done in 1999 5/4/99 ID 24959 what does all of this mean. Does this change the CID of the 352 does it do anything to the HP? Thanks

Crankshaft was ground .040 undersize for both rod and main journals. Bore is out .060 oversize. CID increases nominally with little effect on HP. It is best to start a topic like this, which gets way from the original thread, with a new thread.
