Can I use older electronics(99-03) on my 08 5.4L 3v? will the PCM work for the 4r70W tranny also, instead of the 4r100, I realize I will need a custom tune, but I want to know if it will work if I change a few things, like the cam gears, throttle body, fuel pump, ??? Anything else?? I'm trying to do this to get around PATS for my swap into a 62-f-100. I know for sure that PATS can be removed via custom tune on these older systems, the 08 that I have doesn't seem to be responding to the PATS removal via custom tune. Thanks

 

The older PCM's will not control the 3V's ETC,and if it's a PCM for a 4R70W, it will not control a 4R100. Same thing for a 4R100 PCM-it won't control a 4R70W.
