2004 Ford F-150 spark plugs
I had a bad miss coming home from work one day. Come to find out my plugs were needing replacement. I bought new plugs and the extractor kit, just in case. I was told by a Ford instructor in WI how to remove these plugs. I ran the engine for only 5mins and then removed the coils and soaked the plugs with PB Blaster. The plugs on the drivers side came out with no issues. But on the passenger side #5 & #8 broke, so I used the extractor on the #5. Had no issues it was very easy to use. When doing the #8 cylinder I had to remove the PCM and the mounting bracket. I inserted the guide and the tap and worked fine. Until I pulled the broken tip out, the darn guide tube is some how stuck in the spark plug well. I removed the threaded rod that pulls out the broken piece, but turning the rod until the tip of the broken plug fell back down. Though now the guide rod is stuck, it can be turned and wiggled side to side, but won't come out. The truck is now been towed to Ford and I spoke with the mechanic there. He is going to try to pull it out. Was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this happening.
