Nothing around me for that price under 75K miles, are we talking 2wd or 4wd F250 or F350?

The prices are all over the place depending on condition and miles, you are in the ball park or better from my area on miles.

I would say that the price is a decent one. The turbo might have some rust or carbon that might cause some sticking, so I would watch the boost gauge on the test drive.

.... and no, you didn't say the year earlier - LOL....and no link in the first post either!!

anything ford dealer or Chevy can do?

Any dealer scan Gauge that can tell me if turbo is bad? Or any other checks such as a scan Guage similar?

I recommend the Torque Pro for your android phone which uses a Bluetooth OBD2 adaptor over the Scan Gauge.

I just bought a 2004 F250 with 72k miles. Excellent condition. Perfect body, 4x4 fully loaded for 15,800 inc tax, tag etc....

Orlando Florida, they had come down from an asking price of 23,000...

Stole it and drove it away.

FWIW, I paid $17,750 for a 2005 F250 CC PSD Lariat in March in Memphis, TN in good condition and with 98k miles. Test drove and put it through some paces but I did not go through the evaluation level recommended on FTE (scangauge, EOT/ECT differential test, etc.). I've since found FTE and I've learned a lot more. It is running HOT when towing so it looks like my all in cost will be going up a few $K to straighten the high EOT. Good Luck!

Perfect.... Non smoker for sure. Had 2 small wear spots on the leather repaired professionally. Driver side only. Not one stain, abrasion or scuff anywhere. One owner and they used it for a 5th wheel.
Clean title.... I am the second true owner. The dealer had it titled for 4 months in Georgia for taxes....

ahh man.. y'all are scaring the bejesus outta me.. I just got an 06' 6.0 after driving a 5.4 250 for a decade, the entire time seeing and dreaming of PS's all day every day.. and now, what I'm learning from all this is: basically I need to either become a mechanic... or.. become rich in order to hire a live-in mechanic? I looked for a 7.3, and they're there, just not in my ideal set-ups, mileage, etc.., and I've certainly heard the horror stories about 6.0's, but my faith/trust/love in and for Ford told me, "these guys are hypersensitive to these issues, being that they're probably..mechanics themselves.. it'll be a good truck, keep it simple(as far as mods go), and we wont blow anything up, or throw anything..". Now I'm scared to crank it..Terrified to get a gauge to find out my coolant is 15 degrees different than my oil..****!! Guess I'm drivin the old beater Ranger today.. (mostly kidding & nervous but excited about the whole thing)
