Another newb question

After I shut the truck off I hear a compressor or motor running for 15-30 secs is this normal?

it would help a lot if you gave some info on the truck. What year is it? What kind of noise are you talking about? humming, vibrating, whistle? Any mods done to the truck? where about is the noise comming from? From your description it could be a time bomb for all I know.

Sorry about that, its a stock 2005, 74000 mi. Sounds like a little air compressor motor, best guess is lower left side of motor shuts off before i pin point it only had the truck 2 days just wondering if its normal?

Maybe you still have the "buzz" flash. There have been several updates or flashes since that one. Its just the injectors cycling the oil out to avoid "stiction" if that is in fact what it is. Maybe take it to a dealer and have the latest flash installed, especially if you live in a colder climate. The newer flash has diagnostics built in also for oil temp vs coolant temp to see if your oil cooler is plugging, for one. Welcome to FTE!

Theres none better. I know what you mean, I spend my fair share on here also. I knew nothing about my 6.0 when I bought it, learned almost everything I know on here. Unfortunately I don't have it anymore, and I still can't stay away, haha! These guys here won't steer you wrong. Just remember to rep when possible for the help you receive.
