Not all trucks have one. Check your owner's manual. There are machines that will remove
the odor. Most car dealer's have them . You
might want too call and see if they will use it
on your truck.
this is what I come to understand....Apparently not all trucks came with it, a cabin air filter.
It was a dealer install option, meaning FoMoCo provides a kit, (at a nominal cost), to dealerships that request one for a customer. In Other Words (IOW), customer wants one installed.
Still not real sure where this filter would go....if installed. kind got a feeling it is behind the glove box? Can others offer verification to that??
IRC, it should be in the heater plenum, on the passenger side. Access from the cabin, several screws attach the cover. Filter is in the plenum. Clean the interior of the plenum when the filter is out. Takes a new filter available at auto parts stores, take the old one in & match it up to be sure. Not all trucks have them, 1998 and later as I recall. If you truckis not equipped with the filter from Ford, it should be able to be installed by you now.

If...I do not have this cabin filter in place yet....what else do I need to install one??
it appears that I do not have this "option"...but I may not be looking in the correct place yet...IDK
i just looked behind the glove box area. Where else can it be located??
