How are you chopping the top?
My uncle and I did a 2 inch chop on a 65 ford truck years ago. We used two tops and cut the roof into fourths. The roof will get wider and longer across the top as you come down. We cut slices in the back portion of the roof to match up the back window opening and then welded in the gaps.

I've never chopped a top but my friend did custom autobody and he once told me that there's no way to chop a top without sectioning it. And a "trick" he told me is to take the cut out of the windshield pillars out of the BOTTOM. And then you don't have to deal with the windshield glass, you just sink it into the cowl the amount of the chop. Seemed clever to me. maybe everyone else knew this already.

Thanx for your input, but I have allready choped it 4" and just having trouble getting the windshield lined up . should I get the A pillers to the same lendth and bring them together or am i just sailing with the wind
The windshield is actually easy to get cut or have cut since it is safety glass. Do you have the side windows in yet? I have measured and thought about chopping the top. Can you get some pics posted?

Everyone has been telling me that the glass can not be cut,but after some digging around with all local hot clubs. I found that the best way to cutt it will be to use a dremmal and cut with water to keep it cool. As for pics Old blue looks like a train wreck right as soon as I get further I will post some pics into my album for all to see.
