I need to know what kind of holley may have come stock on a 77 150 4wd w/ a 400?
Brother-in-laws truck, started pouring gas all over intake. Though it might have been the float but it was good so just gonna rip it off and rebuild it. Can't find any #'s to identify for a rebuild kit though. Any help would be great. Thanks.......
I bought a '77 w/ 400 brand new and it came with a Motorcraft 2bbl. Are you sure it's a Holley? If it is I don't think it's OEM.
Note: I check the Ford Parts Manual and it shows only Motorcraft 2bbl on any 400 engine 77-79. If it's a Holley it's not stock.
All the Holleys I've seen have a "list" number stamped on the choke airhorn, if it's there that number can be used to identify the carb and order parts.
Like Mike said, find the list# on the air horn, If it was a Holley used by Ford you can go to Holley's web sight and cross it over to a list # that a parts house can use. Look on the bottom drivers side just under the front bowl, I would bet it is the accelerator pump dumping gas. If it is a 4 barrel it is a 50cc pump Holley #135-5
The only 1973/79 F100/350's to have Holley's (4V's only), were 1974/76 390's and 1975/79 460's.
No 400 engine installed in a Passenger Car (1971/79), F100/350 (1977/82), Bronco (1978/82) or Econoline (1980/82) came with anything other than a Motorcraft 2V.
FoMoCo factory installed carburetors have a tri-angular shaped tag bolted to the top of the airhorn with a carb ID number on it. The problem today is, most are missing.
