I have a 91 f-150 XLT Lariat with a 5.8 and an E4OD. Does anyone know who makes an aftermarket cat-less y-pipe for my truck at a reasonable cost? Part numbers or links would be helpful! Thanks!

This is what I recently purchased:



Bassani part # 581502 for Stainless Steel.

A few things I want to mention. I got mine from Late Model Restoration for $279.99 & with shipping it was $290 something. When I finally did get the pipe, I checked back to the site & the whole section on Bassani pipes was gone.

Bassani wouldn't drop ship the pipe for LMR although they could & do for others. Also, Bassani's site (and their tech support as well) sez' the down pipes are 2-1/4, not 2-1/2 (like their Lightning Y, which is really an X).

As a result, you're supposed to use "flange plates" (From Bassani's site, Not LMR) which I could only order from Bassani. Which I did to the tune of $28 & change. 10 buisness days.

Got my pipe about 21 total buisness days from start. Did I mention Bassani only works through Thursday?

Y pipe has 2-1/2 down legs...

Which has me & since I don't need the damn plates...

At any rate, on LMR's page before they deleted it, there was a listing for a Bassani aluminized Y from their BX series (listed not available on B's site) for $199. I figure there are a few on E-bay.

I flirted with the idea of buying Lightning headers & the Lightning X which is 2-1/2 all the way back, over the 2-1/2 into single 3 that I got, but couldn't swing the cost.
