We can't agree on which color is best but I bet a lot of us can agree on what is worst.
Worst ever: Brown. I mean a true poop brown.
2nd place: Any of the Dodge psychedelic colors.
3rd place: Yellow. Hardly anything is as ugly as a big faded yellow truck. Seems like most owners also add faded flat black stripes with the texture of used sand paper.

ETA: and your GVWR is higher than 8800 because the GVWR of both the F250 and F350 went up in 2005 when they changed the suspension, brakes, etc. So, pre-2005 the trucks, F250 and F350 had lower GVWR than when your truck was made.

.....
The main "purpose" of the truck, is to haul my Mustang to the tracks. That means over long steep mountain passes. The four wheel drive is just to be more versatile, and more bad ***.
It is good to know that the frames got stronger in 05.
I still like the sound of a Super Cab Short Bed 4x4. Can this be found in a Surer Duty?....

My truck often hauls a 28 foot enclosed car hauler (Classic Industries Dominator) usually with an early 60s Pontiac B Body (large and heavy) in it. I get by just great with a 5.4L V-8 and 3.73 gears, but I do that in the Midwest. You'll want as a minimum a 5.4L V-8 with 4.10 gears. A V-10 or a Power Stroke Diesel (PSD) with 4.10 or 4.30 gears will be even better for your towing needs. The choice between a V-10 or a PSD is the subject of great debates on this forum, especially when the subject of which tows better and which is really cheaper to operate. I won't recommend one over the other, it's your choice.
2005+ trucks have heavier frames, larger brakes, a better automatic transmission for towing and a bit more cooling capacity. 2008+ trucks have even more cooling capacity added.

Yes. A Super Cab short bed is a fairly common configuration. I have an '07 SC short bed 4x4. Look in my gallery for pictures of the truck.

I agree, go for a 2007 supcab, sb, 6.8l v-10, or 6.0 v-8 diesel, v-10 wont get you to good of gas milage but it will get the job done, if you plan on doing alot of towing go with the 6.0.
My 05 6.0 tows 10 times better than my 01 7.3, due to all the facotrs listed above
