Gear drive?
Alright i have been wondering if anyone knows where i can get a gear drive for my cam on my 300-6. I just like that whine that a gear drive gives a motor a friend of mine has one in his truck and it just sounds cool. Thanks.

Sometime in the early 80s, Ford started using a cam gear with a phenolic (hard plastic) hub to reduce the noise. If you want more noise, you could try the older all-steel gearsets if they're still available, but it might interfere with the knock sensor on EFIs.

Well i know that not too long ago i whent to replace a cam gear off a 4.0L v-6 and we got all steel ones.
I didnt know the 300 had a gear drive, well time to find an all mtal one. If that dosnt work maybe my machienist buddy Don can help or make one for me. Thanks guys

Gear drive?
The stock replacement Dynagear setup is a steel gear. I got mine at Auto Bone for around $30. It makes a little noise, was more noticable when new though. For even more noise, replace the valve springs. The extra tension will really make the gears work and whine.
