mysterious misfire
Ok. I recently bought a non running escape. 2002 v6 4x4 automatic. Been sitting for about 8 months according to PO. The PO said it needed a fuel pump. I replaced fuel pump and it started right up but with an intermittent misfire on cyl 1 and 6.Thought maybe had some old gas, so I bought some seafoam and put in the tank along with filling the tank to dilute older gas. Drove about 50 miles and it seemed to start running a little better and only misfire when at an idle. Drove it to work the next day it it died on the highway. The front exhaust was glowing red. Towed it home. I was thinking plugged converter but after talkin to a few repair shops I was told to that the misfire could temporarily plug my converter with too much unburned fuel and I should look at my misfire problem first. I replaced the spark plugs and checked Coil packs for a pulse. Coil packs checked out good and I even swapped Coil pack 1 with pack 5 for easier access if problem re appears.
I started the vehicle and still misfiring on 6. Let it sit over night. The next morning I started it up and it ran smooth. drove it down the road and back.. maybe 4 miles and started missing again.. pulled the codes .Misfire on cyl 6 and 02 sensor bank 2 sensor 2 heater circuit. Pulled the 02 sensor and the end was melted. Replace 02 sensor and still had a miss in the engine. Let it sit over night and started it up the next morning and ran smooth. I drove it around my neighborhood for at least a half hour(20-30 mph) with no problems so I thought problems solved...
SO today I decided to drive it to the store about 6 miles away. Ran great to the store. Got back in and started driving, started misfiring again. Pulled the codes and now misfiring on cyl 1 and 5
pulled the intake off again, checked cop again and swapped COP 1 and 4 checked compression and getting 140-150 psi also replace pcv valve and replace upper and lower intake gaskets. Put all back together and got a code for misfire cyl 1 and 4, cleared the code and came back misfire cyl 6
It seems to idle smoother in park than in drive.
I am at my wits end
Please Help!!!

Just took it for a drive to try it.. yeah it shifts and it will get to 55mph and way beyond but its very jerky getting there.. cleared the codes several times and always comes back almost immediately as misfire cyl 6. The engine light flashes periodically but doesnt seem to stay on and also the ABS light is on.. thought it was because of low brake fluid but I added fluid and ABS light still stays on.
