2003 EB side mirrors driving me NUTS!

Ok, I have read that there isn't a "real" fix for the wandering side mirrors, but I am sick and tired of having to reset my mirror settings every time my wife or I lock/unlock the vehicle, use the presets on for #1 or 2 drivers settings, or the wind blows in whatever direction that the Expy dosen't like.

Is there a wire I can cut, plug I can undo, or fuse I can pull that will disable JUST the power to the mirrors?

Thanks
Herbert

I had the same thing. In the owners manual there is a section on disabling the auto mirror feature using the keypad and the mirror set button on the drivers door. You can also disable the auto seat set feature (it is supposed to re-set the mirrors and seat depending on which keypad unlocks the door.) I don't remember exactly how to do it but it was real simple. Now they stay put like they should. Just look in the owner's manual.

...and by keypad I meant the keyless entry remote on your keychain, not the door keypad. Sorry for any confusion.

Had this problem on my 06 (spastic seat) but think it may be the same. Here are the instructions another forum member gave me and it is bypassed. Worth a shot. Good luck, Mike

Is this what you meant by the override ?

Deactivating the memory seat feature
To deactivate this feature:
1. Press the SET control on the driver’s door panel.
2. Within 5 five seconds, press any control on the remote transmitter
which you would like to deactivate and then press the SET control on
the driver’s door panel.
3. Repeat this procedure for another remote transmitter if desired.
