split shot injector ??
just a quick question about split shots in the 99-03 SD trucks. how much HP over stock are they good for, I think our single shots are good for about 60 hp over stock but I have guy around here claiming 500 rwhp on stock sticks in a 02 SD and I think he is full of excrement but I wanted ask you guys before I call his bluff

The SD injectors are 140cc split shots. Not sure what you mean about our single shots being good for 60hp over stock. If they are stock injectors, they are good for stock hp. I'm going to have to say probably BS on the 500 horses on stock SD splits. I think he would need more fuel then that.

look at it this way a SD stick are 140cc and stageI for our truck are 160cc and i know i could never 500hp on my truck with stageI no matter how mouch work and perfromance part were put on it. Gotta have big fuel to make big hp numbers IMO

Actually theyll fit right in and they'll fire but improperly, I recently worked on one where somebody replaced an injector from a scrap yard, just happened that they grabbed an AB not an AA or AO. It ran well enough but after we found it and swapped it it ran better best I can tell it was firing all 120cc's as a single shot because the truck wasnt programmed for a second shot. That caused a misbalance in the motor that or it fired the stock computer recommended volume but at the wrong timing since splits fire at different timing.

I've seen this kind of thing before from a Super Duty. He's been reading the magazines and the boxes. K&N air filter adds 40 hp. Exhaust is good for another 20 or 30. Probably has some Banks stuff on there so he thinks he's getting another 200 hp or so from his highest HP setting.
Find a local dyno day and get him on the rollers. That or just line up next to him and race. With your mods, you could probably take him.
