Checklist before I move...

Moving from North Carolina back home to Oregon sometime before next May. Here's what I have planned.

1. New rear brakes
2. New shocks
3. Front end alignment
4. New Tailgate that will stay closed without a ratchet-strap
5. Canopy for the bed

Tires are pretty new, coolant is fresh, oil will be changed, trans fluid is fresh, diff fluid is less than a year old...

Anything else you guys can think of?

Floorboard vent to go #1 with no stops. No? Well I want one.

Seems like you have a good plan. Maybe extra ATF, oil, new wipers, small compressor... Just small things to have BEFORE you need them on the road in BFE at 0300. Power inverter so mama can watch movies on the laptop or something. I did that. Boy was it a good idea!

Yeah, extra fluids and a compressor would be good. Maybe power inverter.

Yep, and speaking of fuel, already have the 38 gallon rear tank. So with 60 gallon capacity I should only have to fill up about 3 times the whole trip. HAHA

autozone has a rechargable compressor for like 45 dollars. it can be charged at home or in the truck, also has a 12v outlet on it. i bought it in a pinch one time and has been the handiest thing ever. never dies. oh, and it fills pool toys at the beach.
