A three position with momentary switch would be real easy to set up, or better yet just get yourself a aftermarket ignition switch with key and put it in the left side of the dash. You would have to remove the safety locks that the stock key operates though.
More info about the truck would be good, year? AT or manual trans, left hand shifting is doable to, but more complicated.
Just looked in your profile it says a 92 F-150, a better but much more complicated solution, not sure how complicated would have to look, would be to just turn the whole stearing column over so everything is reversed. Key would be on the left, shifter on left but go up to put in gear, down to park, and turn signal on right side.

A regular aftermarket ignition switch usually does not have enough contacts to work with a OEM setup. Plus you still need to turn the key to unlock the steering wheel.
If you just want a momentary switch to crank it over, you could mount that on the left easily though. You would have to get under the dash and intercept the red/blue wire and put voltage on this. It's what goes through the neutral safety and then to the starter to crank the engine.

The mechanical part in the column is broken, but the electrical part of the switch is mounted on top of the column underneath the dash. The easiest way to get to it is to loosen the u-clamp that holds the column to the dash, and drop the column down on the seat. Then you can see the switch. Make sure you take the cover off around the column near the cluster, and disconnect the string that works the PRND2L indicator or you will break it when the column drops
