I just purchased a 99 f250 super-duty, supercab, 4X4. I am wanting to put a leveling kit on it which looks to be about 2.5 inches and i want to plow with the truck. ( i think it will be a western mvp plus v plow). I do not have the snow plow prep package. I was wondering if anyone has done this and what you may recomend. I would like it not to sag my front end to bad. thanks for any advice or tips
You shouldn't have any problems running that plow. Put ballast in the bed like was mention above. And maybe upgrade the springs. I have the same truck but a 7.3 and after plowing two years with my plow I have worn out the springs. I also have a leveling kit. Truck should do you very well for plowing.
level springs don't add weight capacity to your front they are just arched to give you lift. allot of guys here put x-code springs which lift the front about two inches plus they can handle the weight of a plow. if i knew this before hand i would have scraped my front leafs and installed x codes but i put a add aleaf in the front. would have preferred the x codes but o well
