Does anybody else have/had this issue. 05 5.4 3v f150, 88k miles. Has been stalling at low rpm esp with decelerations. Engine light sometime comes on and the bar wrench. Took to autozone and codes (I believe) were p2104 and p2112. Something about AAP sensor and throttle plate at low angle-stuck closed. It cranks right back up and drives light nothing happened until it happens again. Very anoiying and dangerous. I don't want to start throwing parts at it but I don't want the dealerships to ream me a new one. Any suggestions, anybody??
Your problems is the throttle position sensor/s on the throttle body one or both are bad replacement of the throttle body is the fix for your concern the dealer should stock one..
Very easy replacement
1. disconnect battery
2.remove air filter housing
3.remove electrical connections
4 remove bolts for t/b
5. replace with new t/b
6. reinstall everything removed
7 code will be cleared with battery removal, drive truck over 30mph for 5 min to relearn adaptive strategy...
Thanks for the info.. Are the throttle position sensors part of the throttle body assembly or are they a seperate part? My dealer said they sell the sensor for a hundred bucks or so but the throttle body is about 4 hundred.
Try taking off the throttle body and cleaning it first. I have fixed a few like that. The plate gets gummed up and sticks where the PCM doesn't want it so a code gets set.
