power windows faulty

Alright no one I've talked to knows the solution to this so I hope someone here does. When I shut my truck of and pull the key out my windows still work no matter what unless of course I unhook the battery. Any ideas?? If it helps the lights inside the buttons work to and I drive a late 1999 f250 psd

And your interior light goes off when you shut the door? All I know is when you open the door, certain cab functions should go dead. That signal obviously isn't getting there.
I'd rather do a head swap on a turbo'd VW Beetle(PITA) than have to screw around with electrical probs. There's some awfully smart people on here, someone will get you pointed straight. Good luck, and let me give you a late welcome to FTE.

If that is the case, spray the lock mechanism real good in the door with WD-40. Here's a thread on it:

I had similar issues. Turned out moisture in driver side window motor. Sprayed and cleaned a few times, which worked but finally replaced. No problem for several years. Weird stuff

Probably related to the dome light issue (ie the switches on your door latch mechanism). I believe that is the signal to disable the window power. There have been several write ups on how to RR the switch. Hopefully someone has the link and can post it.

You might have a defective switch on the door latch itself. They are not to expensive to buy but are a wee bit of a pita to change out. Steve and Petey changed them out on Peteys truck last fall.
