Thanks for researching, Bill. I'm waiting on a call back for the cable. Unfortunately, I just called Griesel and they no longer have the ****..sigh. Hopefully another one will surface. Or I'd be willing to use the C1TF18534A "heat" **** instead of "temp," if it would fit the same. Any idea?

C1TF-18534-A .. **** - Marked: HEAT / Obsolete
1961/66 F100/1100.
HIGH BUCK! BOB ALLEN FORD in Overland Park KS has 3 = 913-381-2999.
I'll give it some time and see if I can source anything. Sent out a handful of requests to some junkyards. If not, I'll have to get creative and make something work!

These two ***** marked HEAT & TEMP were used with the deluxe 1961/66 fresh air heaters.
Their two cables are located on a bracket underneath the dash to the right of the steering column.

Right, that much I did learn from the numerous threads on the subject. My truck does NOT have the deluxe heater controls, only the fan "pull for heat" **** on the dash which is connected to the internal flap on heater box. BUT...the in-line water control valve IS installed on my line-in to the heater core. I'd like to make it controllable from inside the cab, hence why I'm trying to get the cable/****. I expected it to be a bit of a project hooking it up under the dash (home-made bracket, etc.) but now it's not looking likely that I'll source that TEMP or HEAT ****. So maybe I'll get the original cable for $50 and rig up a different ****, or I could rig up the whole thing with a different cable altogether.

Trucks without the deluxe fresh air heater have a manually (hand) operated heater water shut-off valve.
1965/66 is C5TZ-18495-A which is obsolete, but Green Sales has it.
This valve is spliced into the inlet to heater core heater hose as is the C3UZ-18495-A cable controlled heater water valve.
For a ****, you could use this: C1TF-17513-A .. Wiper & Heater **** that's reproduced, matches the dash *****. Attaches w/a set screw.
I have two of the C1TF-18534-A in the Ford plastic bags - as opposed to paper envelopes - and they have never been opened - but these two don't say anything on them in the center of the insert. So, at some point they might have stopped trying. The ones I have that say TEMP and HEAT are all over the place as far as the size of the lettering, clarity, etc. so it must have been a bi*** to make them. And possibly why they aren't being reproduced yet.
Mac's catalog has them for $6.95 each part #s 48-34200-1,2,3 pg. 213 Although they don't show "TEMP" or "HEAT" on the inserts. They show a boatload of ***** in their catalog, too.
Also have choke cables that could probably be rigged up to work. Universal 48-18069-1 $12.95
The thing I hate about the original ***** - almost all of them - is they always seem to turn chalky white after a while - clean the crap out of them - a little while later they are chalky again. I've heard others complain about a similar/same problem. Are the reproductions under the same spell? One would hope not.
