Funky muffler noise

I never went back and hung the muffler from the factory hangers. I did, however, use the stock on in FRONT of the muffler, along with a "universal" hanger I got in the local parts store. It was perfect to mate up with one end of the front muffler exhaust clamp, and another 3/8" nut and it was hung.

I really SHOULD go back and hang the muffler the right way, but I gotta find some nice stainless band to make it look pretty

Oh, and I don't think there is any "inlet" vs. "outlet" on these things. They don't look any different end-to-end, it's a straight pipe with holes, and no obvious direction to it.
