My favorite beer has plenty of root in it. Otherwise, I don't drink beer. Rarely drink anything else. Mostly because I am alys the driver and I absolutly refuse to drink and drive.
I dont drink very often, buy when i do, I love my Miller Lite, its a Womens beer, most Women drink Miller Lite, Because it TASTE GREAT & IS LESS FILLING
I have to admit. I tend to be a bit of a beer snob. IPA's are my personall favorite. But like someone stated before. If Im at someones house I do think it is rude to say no, just because you don't like that brew. So I usually have to suck it up cause most of my friends like coors light. And that like drinking water to me. But just my 2 cents
Wow... apparently San Diego has an entire week dedicated to beer. I have a couple friends in the area that I'll have to mention this to.
Finally have time (happen to be around long enough) to start figuring out a trip with the wifey down to Ale Smith... but looks like Stone Brewing might warrant a detour on the way home... or a second trip down. Will keep you guys posted if anyone's interested. We'll likely stay down there for the night. I'd hate to make a trip all the way down there... and have to 'drink responsibly' enough to make it back home without a cab.
Also - have you guys made it out to the Yard House down in Long Beach? Excellent selection. Was in the area for work and stopped by with a friend. Keep in mind... this is just one side of the bar... the part I could fit in the picture... and it wraps all the way around the opposite side of the same wall.
well as for being 21 for only a couple of months i havent had the chance to taste alll those beers that you guys have said. im fond of the blue moon and firestone walker. one of the bars down here has what they call two dollar Tuesday any beer they have for two bucks.

I have heard great things about this brewery. Planning to get down there soon myself; Arrogant ******* & Stone Ruination IPA are two of my favorites. I fear no beer and am always up to try something new; probably got that from my Fraternity years. Also been a huge fan of Rolling Rock lately and am alyays up for most Heff brews.

Thant sounds like a good night to me...lol. Do yourself a favor, try a different beer every time you go there. I have found sampling multiple brews one after another can really distract the brilliance of a good beer.
That's excellent advice. Also - if you're sampling several in an evening... go lightest to darkest so that the heavier and hoppier flavors don't overshadow the lighter brews.
The Lazy Dog Cafe has a pretty decent selection of micro brews as well. 5 6oz glasses for $6... and they're all excellent. in order from lightest to darkest... I believe a Hefeveisen, Honey Blonde, Pale Ale, Amber Ale and Chocolate Porter.
Still figuring out when I'll get down to SD for some beer tasting... but should know in the next day or two. Will post it here if anyone else is interested or happens to have time. (It'll be on a Fri or Sat... since those are the only two evenings that Ale Smith keeps their tasting room open... and head to dinner somewhere after.)

San Diego beer week is going on now. Nov 5th thur 14th. Wish I was able to go. I have been to sone brewrey a while back. I deffintly reccommend a trip there for any beer lover.
For anyone who's interested, finally have a trip planned down to Ale Smith this Sat. Their tasting room is open 12-6 pm. The wife and I will be making the trip down late in the morning, enjoying some beer and then heading over to La Ja Jolla afterwards for dinner.
Meant to plan this farther ahead to try and get more people to go - but my wife's schedule just opened up... and I didn't want to miss an opportunity before the holiday season gets into full swing. :-)
Edit: In case it wasn't clear... if anyone happens to be in the area or have the afternoon free - we'd love it if anyone else could make it out too, even though it's somewhat short notice.
As it turns out - someone mentioned the possibility of a 'beer tour' going on that day as well - where a bus takes you around to some of the favorite microbreweries in the area... without having to drive your own vehicle. I'll post if I find out anything else about it. (Cost, schedule, etc)
