A few years ago I was driving home on the Highway in the middle of BFE and I looked out my window and saw the weirdest thing ever flying straight at me or running or some thing. Anyway I was going about 80 and the thing crashed right into the side of my old Fairmont LTD with (300.000 miles) on it. I slammed on the brakes went back to look and found nothing at all not a feather, peice of metal, nothing. Kind of weirded out now I look at the car and theres a dent in the front fender next to the door, it was a dent of a face of some sort... Kind of resembled an owl in shape.
Weird part is I was on the portion of the road with 50 foot banks on both sides.
Anyone else ever have soem thing weird happen like that? I sware the only time cool stuff happens like that I am by my self in the middle of the night with no one around.
I've only had one experience that was somewhat similar, but I did have a witness who verified my story - so there were two crazy people instead of just one.
Years ago, I was heading back from college for break, with another student who lived in the same general area. We were heading south through the Upper Peninsula (Michigan), and were on highway 141 about 10 miles north of Amasa - about the absolute middle of nowhere, or at least it was back then.
Anyway, it was just about dark and I was the only car on the road - heck, I hadn't even seen another car in probably the last 20 miles or so. Suddenly something crossed the road in front of me through the beam of the headlights - it looked to be at least as large as a bear, but moving faster and in a way I'd never seen a bear move. I grew up in the country and had seen quite a few bears - and I knew what a bear looked like when it ran, and this wasn't it. Anyway, it flashed across in front of the car - and as soon as it went across we looked at each other and I said "what the &*$%# was THAT!?!?". My passenger replied "I have no idea, and we're not stopping to find out." Now, I don't consider myself a coward, but I had no intentions of stopping - especially when I didn't even have a gun in the car.
Anyway, that's my story - and I still don't know what that thing was or might have been. I'm sure there's a logical explanation, but I can't think of one. Maybe it was an overly-large horse wearing a bearskin rug, or a hyperactive moose with a glandular problem. Either way, it wasn't something I wanted to run into in the dark - either with the car or on foot.
haha, this reminds me of when me and my cousins were driving around in the "woods" i mean litterally, no houses for miles, when my cousin Spencer was looking out the window goes
" what the was that?!?!?!" so we slammed on the breaks and backed up. so were are all asking him what he saw, he says " it looked like a bear cub, holding a fishing pole" but we saw nothing, at all, except a open field with a few trees in it.
Back in 1978 or there abouts while I was in the navy, we were on a West-Pac curise out in the south pacific somewhere. I just got of watch at midnight and a couple of us guys went up topside to hang out on the fantail. There were several of us out there as it became routine for many of us finishing our watch to hang out and unwind before hitting our racks.
I remember it was a warm night and there were low hanging clouds blocking the night sky. We were the only ship in sight as the others in our carrier task force were beyond the horizen. There were no flight operations going on as far as anyone knew as we were always called on to stand plane guard detail during flight opps. Which means we followed closely behind the aircraft carrier as they launched and received their aircraft. We stuck to that carrier like glue. Nothing going on this night.
Anyway there we were enjoying the night air when all of a sudden a bright flashing light appeared beyond the clouds. Now this was a big light! I would estimate it to be at least 60 to 80ft. in diameter flashing on and off in a slow rhythm. We could not see anything because of the cloud cover which was low, but this light seemed to be just beyond the clouds. We couldn't hear anything either. No engine noise, no hellicopter blades, no rushing wind noise, nothing that would lend itself to be an aircraft of any type we were familure with. Just a bright flashing light aft of us slowly overtaking the ship at aprox. 100 yards off the starboard beam. We all just stared in amazement as the excited fantail watch radioed the bridge and asked them if they can see the same thing. As this bright flashing light cought up with the bridge, it stoped flashing and that was it. None of us could figure out what it might have been. That's about as wierd as it gets for me.
The first Westpac I was on back in the early 60's, we had a lookout report a UFO (Unidentified Floating Object) and was taken seriously and checked out. You've all seen the Titanic movie and know it takes forever to alter your course.

DONT DO DRUGS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA
Nope, no drugs (never done 'em) or even alcohol - both of us were completely sober and wide awake at the time. I almost wish I wasn't, because that would make it a lot easier to explain what happened.
Basically, I just added it to the list of things I couldn't explain - along with rap music, quantum mechanics, and most of the '70s.
LOL sorry LK didnt mean to make it sound like i was implying you were on drugs or anything, i was refferring to my cousin, hes been known to, well, um, you got the idea
My cousin and I were walking down the road one time, and this bush shook all over the place and then something if i remember correctly furry looking ran through the field of grass really fast.....It seemed to be smarter than an animal lol.....
About a month ago i was coming back from a hockey game and it was about 11 at night. Anyway i was looking at the sky (it was probably the clearest night of the month) and i see this light. At first i thought it was just an airplane cause it was the same type of light that airplanes have. But the thing was, it would move north for a ways then the light would quit for about 30 seconds to a minute then the lights would re-appear only they would either be too far ahead for a jet, making it move extremely fast. Or it would appear in the same spot just behind where i last saw it. The road i was on was perfectly straight and i was headed south. I watched the light for around 30 minutes.
I know a guy nearby that has had crop circles in his fields. I know another guy that has a huge ranch on a lease a ways from where i live. Anyway this guy has around i think over 1000 head of cattle once in while at least once a year he will find a cow that has been surgericaly disected and no one can explain it, and he's pretty sure that no human is doing it cause there isn't anyone around for about 20 to 30 miles from the leased land and if a person did do it he would be able to tell cause prarie grass is very telling of tire tracks.
One time i was camping up in the UP, on highway 141. Not a single soul around. It was just about dusk and I decided that the camping spot I was on was too inaccessible. Anyway, I was pretty cold so i decided to stay in my sleeping bag, it was an old brown coleman bag, just HUGE, I ran accross the highway to go to another camping spot. And I ran fast because truthfully I was damned scared, there was some kind of vehicle with lights just kind hovering in front of me. So I just booked it, and to tell you the truth, it is hard to run in a big fuzzy sleeping bag, especially with a low flying UFO. I'll tell ya, that was one scary event.
Maybe not a UFO, but soemthing kinda cool one night up in Maine. I was riding shotgun, with my father driving, on Rt. 32 in Vassalboro, ME when we saw two lights, about 100ft off the ground, and really cranking towards us from 3 o'clock. It looked like two planes, but really quiet, sounded like they were miles away when they went overhead. They looked like a pair of Mustangs, going incredibly fast, and so close the air off them shook the truck. That was kinda freaky.
Good job explaining what I saw - now all you have to do is explain rap music, quantum mechanics, and the '70s.
However, I still prefer my "hyperactive moose with a glandular problem" theory to your "FTE member in a fuzzy sleeping bag" theory. What I saw wasn't walking/running upright like a man, but down on all four - so I can probably rule out bigfoot and most FTE members.
