But seriously, I would not buy oil filters from there one at a time, as you can get them through most local parts houses for around $20.00, but the fuel filters will save you some money and that air filter will save you a TON of loot! Definitely bookmark worthy!
Speaking of fuel filters, when I priced them at Ford, they gave me an hefty price for two, stating that they are sold in pairs...
So here's my next question:
I know there's a fuel filter on top next to the oil filter, but where's the second? Please tell me it's not in the tank, and hopefully on the frame or somewhere around there, easy to get to.
One of the things I hated about Jeeps...they kept the filter inside the tank! You had to drop it to get to it...what a PITA!
The primary is on the frame rail under the drivers ***. The secondary is on the top of the engine. The procedure to change them is kind of critical. See this: http://www.dieselfiltersonline.com/D...ence-Guide.pdf
Then, before this thread wanders off the map, you need to go down to the 6.0 forum, and read the sticky technical thread near the top. You'll find lots of good stuff in there.
Kind of depends on whether it will bother you I suppose. There are a lot of them out there running on 6L engines. Most people get away with it.
I don't think there is a clear answer to your question. It would bother me I think, just because of the unknown. Some guys have had success by posting on Craigslist for a free swap with someone who is stock and wants an AirRaid.
If it were K&N I would be a lot more worried.
How long have you been running the AirRaid? If it has been a good length of time, maybe pull your intake hose and inspect the turbine and duct and see how it looks.
