My Ac isn't working. I think it's a wiring problem because i turned on the AC with the truck running and checked the leads to the fan clutch with the voltmeter. nothing. I checked fuses, they look good. I also activated the AC clutch myself with wire streight to the battery.
you need gauges for auto 134a. even the cheapo that comes with the can will give you an idea. find the dryer on the passenger side firewall, there is a switch with 2 wires on it. unplug it and jump the wires together with a paper clip or something and see if it runs ( make sure key is on, engine dont have to be running for you to hear the clutch engage). if it does, its either low or the switch is bad. also check the connection on the compressor itself, i herd these can go bad also. i am going to get my coffee.
ther a high pressure swich in the line at the back of the compressor you can cross it out to like you do with the low pressure swich i got a bad pulg on mine and have to wigele it to get it to work some times

So I should try cleaning the plugs? what do you mean by crossing it out?

There is a single wire plug that goes in towards the top rear of the alternator. Make sure it isn't broken. I think this has to do with the A/C...the wire was down to only one strand because one of the hoses going to the heater core was rubbing on it.
