I'm hopefully getting rid of my Mazda3 this week and getting a 2010 F-150 Super Crew 4x2 4.6L V8 XLT with the convenience package, sync, tow package, and a few other things. The MSRP is $34,230 and the offer from the dealership is $22,907. Does that price sound good? It's $11,200 off MSRP and around 33% off. Does that sound like a good deal?
My Mazda3 is a lease and I'm having a hard time turning it in one month early but as soon as I do I'll be jumping to a truck.
Well I was at the dealership Saturday and that was the price the internet guy had given me and they were doing the deal on that. I had to leave because the trade was a problem. Sales manager called me today and asked what we could do to get the deal done and he said that price may not be good after we left. If so, I'm not going to be very happy. Another dealership already told us that was below what they could do by at least $1,000.

Do you remember if the truck has the 4.6L or the new 4.6L 3V and 6 speed transmission?

go to edmunds.com and see what they say they factor in incentives rebates etc. tell us what they say for the exact truck you are getting
what is the trade problem - they wouldn't give you that much for it?
Over $11k off is pretty darn good, almost unheard of. Usually around $10k is the most I've seen reported. So if they are willing to give you that much off, then they have to make up their money somehow, so they won't be willing to give you as much for your trade. You might be better to buy the truck for $11k off and sell your car yourself.
It's a lease so I'm working on turning it in this week. I'm so sick of the lease people, they lied to me about all the options and changed the rules in the middle of my term.
Well I got a quote from the internet department, I went in and looked at the truck. Then I tried to trade in my car but we decided we needed to close out the lease first. I can't get it inspected for another week and I don't want this deal to slip away so I may go in tonight and buy the truck.
The F-150 you requested is HERE AND READY TO ROLL! The M.S.R.P. is set at $34,230 after an existing discount from Ford of $500. The SALE PRICE is an amazing $22,907 + TT&L. This price includes a $1,000 rebate tied with FMCC financing.
If they go back on this price after 2 days I'll be raising H E LL in there.

I think that's a better price than you'll ever see again. If you want that truck, better pull the trigger now, it's a sweet fricken deal.
Sounds like a real good deal. Keep in mind also, leases can be sold. I have made money on my last 3 leases (the last one I lost $400 due to my miscalculation) and we were in the same position. We had a great deal worked out on a cx-7 but had 5 months left on the pilot. So we sold the pilot early to a private party. Also, not sure if you have carmaxs where u are,but they have always been pretty fair if I did not want to deal with selling it privately. I have sold them four cars thus far including my 03 f150. Good luck, Mike.
I just got home. I wound up getting suckered into the extended warranty but they lowered the int rate down to make the payment the same. It seemed like a good deal but I'll have to calc it out to see if it really was. I was at 8.99% from Ford Motor Credit and with the warranty and the discount it was 2.9%. I figure $500 a month for 60 months is $500 for 60 months either way. The only problem is if I was to refinance or sell it early I'd have about $3k more on the loan.
