EGT Probe
Does anybody have an idea where the best place to install an egt probe on a 08 6.4l ?
I just recieved my Edge with a dpf delete option, and it suggests installing the probe to monitor egt temperature. Is there already a spot to do this or do I have to drill and tap the manifold somewhere. I'm sure it is common with all the racing tunes that people are installing.

I'm not too familiar with Edge, but I thought it would pick up the sensor that is already installed on the truck. I know the DashDAQ just uses the Ford sensor and picks up the reading from the OBD2 port.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't do that, but the dealer I bought this through also sold me the egt probe and told me I needed it. I just installed the tuner today but I thought I should monitor the egt's.

The DPF delete pipe should have a number of ports to install the factory sensors, you could use one of those and leave a factory sensor off maybe? Not sure why it needs its own probe, there are three different factory EGT probes along the exhaust.
