Got a quick question I haven't been able to find an answer to in the book....
What is normal oil pressure at idle and/or at operating speed?
Mine is running about 20-25 psi at idle, depending on temperature and oil condition (dirty/sooty oil equals harder to pump) Seems to run about 40-45 psi at highway speed.
Normal, or getting too much slop in the bearings to make better pressure?
Mine only has about 140,000 miles on it, and 35 psi is all I can muster. But it makes no abnormal noises and runs good, so I am not worried about it. If we had kept the factory gauge hooked up, then we are both good according to that correct? Remember it runs half-way unless you drop below 5 psi.
